Build up to COP17

‎”We are at a tipping point in the world. The battle is whether our children inherit a barren world that faces an ecological disaster – a “perfect storm” where the crisis of fuel, food, unemployment, population growth, economic and climate-change intersect.
The solution cannot be a mindless strategy of increased consumption – we must learn to live within the responsible limits of what our planet can sustain. After all, we have no Planet B. Albert Einstein said: “We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”
The single most important question is whether we can summon the courage and political will to do the right thing for our children and future generations.” – an extract from a column in Business Day by Jay Naidoo.

I will be talking about ‘solutions’ and ‘Caring for the Earth’ at a gathering in Durban of faith leaders and communities with Desmond Tutu on the 27th November. We are expecting 30, 000 adults and children to attend. #DOT Do One Thing
