IN JANUARY 2017, as it does every three years, the South Atlantic Race fleet will set off once again. This time, though, there will be one unusual addition: a rowing boat. Not just any old rowing boat: it’s a specially built racing craft designed for ocean crossings. Peter van Kets and Braam Malherbe aim to row it all the way from Cape Town to Rio de Janeiro.
